It's almost time... you're now in group 8 and soon you'll be making the transition to secondary school. But what does that all involve?
Before the summer holidays, you will receive a preliminary recommendation from your teacher about which type of education suits you.
At a Brugklas010 event, you can get to know all the secondary schools in Rotterdam and the surrounding area. This way, you can see which school matches your talents and interests. Afterwards, you can visit their open day(s).

You will receive advice from your teacher about the type of education that suits you. If a student needs extra support at school, the primary school can also provide advice about this.
Like all year 8 students, you will take the transfer test.
You will receive your final recommendation from your teacher no later than March 24. This cannot be lower than the recommendation you received in January.
You will receive a letter containing a unique code to register yourself at a secondary school. Keep this letter safe!
Register at the secondary school you have chosen during this period.
Don't forget to bring the letter with the unique code.
You are starting at your new school.
Good luck!
Do you want to know when you can enroll at a secondary school and what is involved in the process? Then take a look with your parents at the website of De OverstapRoute. There you will find the OverstapRouteKaart, as well as information about the secondary schools in the Rotterdam region.
