Brugklas010 is a joint initiative of FOKOR (this is the federation of all Rotterdam primary and secondary school boards). The goal? To make the transition from primary to secondary education as smooth and transparent as possible. Together, we want to support students in making a well-informed school choice.

The Brugklas010 events are an important part of this initiative. From October 2026 to January 2027, we will organize twelve school fairs spread across Rotterdam and the surrounding area, where students, together with their teacher and/or parent(s), can meet all secondary schools from the region.
These fairs replace the many small-scale fairs at primary schools as well as the larger school fairs. In this way, we offer an accessible and neutral introduction to secondary education, without each (primary) school having to organize a separate fair. This saves time and reduces the workload in both primary and secondary education. Brugklas010 is intended for students in groups 7 and 8, their parents, and teachers. By visiting a school fair together, there is room for focused conversations about what suits the student. This makes it easier to determine which open days are worthwhile and ultimately to choose the school that best fits the student.

Until 1 July 2026.
The secondary schools within the KoersVO area are warmly welcome at these events.
The secondary schools within the KoersVO area are also very welcome at these events. Think of Capelle a/d IJssel, Ridderkerk, Barendrecht, etc.
A school fair where students can get a first introduction to many different secondary schools from Rotterdam and the surrounding area. Primary schools can visit during the day with their groups 7 and 8, and in the evening our events are open for parents and their child.
In addition, we offer the following for primary schools:
The school fair/events will also have a new format this year. Because students in group 8 often have not yet received a final school recommendation in October/November, we are organizing the events based on talents and interests.
Six ‘tracks’ have been developed, which secondary schools can join. Think of tracks such as creativity, technology, or other areas of interest. In this way, students can discover which schools match their talents and preferences – regardless of the school recommendation they eventually receive.
We use fixed prices per event, and these prices are based on the size of the school. This way, participation remains affordable for every school.
(This amount includes a table and lunch + drinks for the attending colleagues from each school)
